Computer wont turn on, went there for check up, quick service and good follow up service too. Best part of the experience is that they are willing to share knowledge and do extra work for me with no additional costs.

I don't know what the negative reviews are about because we had a very positive experience at Best deal 4 computers.
We called and spoke to someone who knew exactly what I needed, we then went to the store where we were given the correct product, and we were able to install it ourselves and it works perfectly! That's all you can ask for.
Thanks for a very positive experience ☺️

I have to edit my previous report and recommend that nobody should ever buy, get repair done or ask for service or ring back these people cannot be trusted in any way whatsoever. They make a lot of promises they never keep like ringing back etc
Keep well away from them you have been warned there are plenty of other businesses around that are much more trustworthy than this business.

    Hi Robert,

I arrived at your store this afternoon to buy the Space Rail kit that you advertised on Gumtree and that I had confirmed with you yesterday by email that you still had in stock.

The unit that was advertised was:
This is the big brother of the space rail kits, to make a HUGE 11m running track! The spiral “elevator” lifts the marbles up to the top of the rail, and gravity takes care of the rest. It’s entertaining, and a great lesson in physics. If you don’t get the angles of the track right, the marbles won’t make the journey! Hours of entertainment, and virtually unlimited track possibilities! Once you get it right though, they’ll keep going around and around until you stop them (usually to make changes to the track)! Supplied with loads of pieces (488 in total) to make an 11m running track..

The last sentence reads "Supplied with loads of pieces (488 in total) to make an 11m running track.."

The kit that you have in stock is not this, it has less than half the parts and a shorter track.

    Very much false advertising!!!

    Regards
    Steve Tann

Unbelievably dodgy business practices and I really feel like I dodged a bullet by cancelling my order with them.

I initially ordered a laptop from them because it had the specs I needed and the price advertised was fair, I saw they offered Humm (a common payment plan, like Afterpay or Zip) as a payment option and figured I'd take advantage of that to save some ready cash for the weekend (I'd previously used Humm at Betta Electrical to purchase some white goods, local to me in Darwin). Laptop was 'in stock', I completed the order and all seemed fine, until I was emailed by "Devon Jesse" a few minutes later insisting that I reply with scans of my drivers license, copies of utility bills, three months of payslips and bank statements for all of my accounts, the name of my employer and how long I had been there, my date of birth and full residential and postal address (which they already had from my online order).

Now, there is literally no legitimate reason for any retailer to insist on that information unless a customer is seeking IN HOUSE finance, which I was not. I have, in the past, provided SOME of that information to credit providers, but a hundred points of ID and all my personal details? Nope. I replied to that effect, and when I did not receive a response, I rang the number listed for their retail store at 4pm Queensland time to speak to Devon to cancel my order.

A man with a very thick Indian accent answered the phone like a personal call, "Hello?" which surprised me (as I had dialed a landline number for a supposed brick and mortar business), and after a bit of back-and-forth to ascertain if I had the correct number (me: "Um, hello? Is this Best Deal computers?" man: "who's THIS?" me: "a customer looking to speak to Devon." man: "WHO? there's no Devon here" me: "do I have the right number, is this a computer shop?" man: "I'm not at the shop! I'm outside!" It was hecking weird, kids.), the guy on the phone eventually identified himself as "Robert" (I mean, come on. He sounded like a "Robert" like I sound like an Aishwarya, which is to say, not even a little bit). I referenced my order and the email from Devon and asked why they wanted that information, at which point he literally began yelling at me that they're not scamming people (I hadn't suggested that, He Who Doth Protest Too Much, but it's completely cool and normal for you to get all defensive about it) and calling me a thief. I ended the call and emailed Devon back asking for written confirmation that my order be canceled, which I still haven't received 24 hours later. I also reported them to the ACCC and Humm, because seriously, the number of scams they would be pulling off with that information boggles the mind. I sincerely wonder if they're installing keyloggers or other trojan horse spyware on the systems they sell, because if they had banking logins or whatever as well as all your financial and personal info, there's no end to what they could do with that.

Run away, seriously. I have no idea if the positive reviews are legit (like, did their friends leave them? Did people get their computers and haven't found the spyware yet? Who knows) but I wouldn't risk it.

Oh, I just went to JB Hi-Fi and bought a different laptop this morning. Didn't even have to provide my blood type or mother's maiden name, imagine.
